Met up with M3bobby which was a great success but feel embarrassed we were working on the Disco till very late
We tackled it head on after doing our research and was pretty straight forward. Seats out, straight into dash ... not as bad as we thought it could be
Around 3 hrs in
about 4hrs in
We then put everything back after laying in new dash loom. We then spent ages looking at aerial and nav config. Looks like LR keep the Nav coax in there but snipped off blue connector
So finished turning the last screw around 23:00 (2 coach bolts left over from my side ) and then started IID coding. We could see no fault codes and engine started ok ... we didn't have time to route power to amp so couldn't test functionality 8). That was last weekend Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

Well nearly a week later and its all looking fantastic.
M3bobby has the patience of a saint with taking me through the wiring diagrams and cable spec and last night got power into the amp. (still no speakers connected up)
With the amp back up meant the head unit took CD's, showed DAB reception and Nav kicked in after around 5 minutes. Have meridian option on unit and radio station on instrument cluster .
Only issues now (which think are config)
No Bluetooth
No FM or AM
No power from the new glove box usb.
Wonder if the Dolby and DTS options be selectable from the media menu?
Maybe need to re-config the MY16 headunit as still - anyone with 16 Plate and IID tool would love to see your CCF file
So so pleased and can't thank Chris enough for his help

Dan, this is a hardware thing I think from the main media unit rather than CCF as kit comes from a MY16 D4
Another full day on this yesterday and with M3Bobbys help realised USB pin out was for RSE and not cubby dash so that is why it don't work. Ended up reusing my old ipod centre console usb and all works fine
After getting everything back together realised a speaker on off side rear door was hissing after key out so I've something up fitting everything back - great.
Its a great mod if you have the time but looking forward to getting my weekends back now
Just FM not working still not sure how I can find the fault as everything looks good and tbh with DAB don't really have the need .....

Yes and no - my FM loop is broken somewhere and I didn't have the heart to tear everything apart again to finds out where .. its a loose or mismatched connection somewhere but as i'm always on DAB here in the UK its not bothered me at allStolen - D4 Loire Blue
