D4 Key fob spring !
Well last night dropped my key fob and it fell to bits
So went to LR dealer this morn to enquire about claiming on my extended warranty ! But as it still works and is only the casing is broken it is not covered !!
So on my way out popped into the parts and found out you can replace the case, fantastic I said and then the parts guy said have you all the bits as it looks like the spring which retains the blade lock in position is not there !
So I now have a new case with no spring ( which you can't purchase, and a new key with programming is £260 )
Does anyone have a picky of the key in bits and know where the spring is meant to go and perhaps the dimensions of said spring cos I'm not forking out all that dosh if I can replace the spring !
Many thanks in anticipation

Hoorah after dismantling most of the kitchen trying to find a spring DONE IT
I dismantled an old electrical wall socket and the spring used on the switch detents are a perfect size dia meter wise just got to shorten by about 2 mm.
Put it together and works perfectly
So the new fob casing cost me £5 as opposed to a new key at £260.
So if your keys are damaged or peeling like they do ( eventually ) get yourself a new casing part number if you want it RLR052882.
Cheers
