D4 Heated Seat in a D3
Hi all, I’m after some help if possible please.
I have searched this forum as well as google and YouTube and I have tried to read wiring diagrams although I can’t say I really know what I am looking at. I have a very basic electrical knowledge.
I have an 05 D3 which was fitted with heated cloth seats, manual adjustment. I was offered some basic D4 seats which were in better condition, also heated, manual adjustment. At the time of fitting I was restricted in time so I just did a straight swap, plug and play however I have noticed the heated seat function doesn’t work.
Doing some research and looking at diagrams and under the seat it is clear the wiring is different, however I cannot work out which wires I need to connect from the D4 seat to my D3 loom. The D4 seats have a Volvo heater control module under the seat that seems to have 6 wires from the seat going in and 3 wires out to the car loom. My old D3 seat has 4 wires to the loom which are spliced to the car seat.
I attach photos of the wiring schematics for both the D3 and D4 which I believe to be correct, I am hoping there is someone who has either carried out this mod before or has a better understanding of electrics to be able to point me in the right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you please measure the resistance od the termistor? Pls pls
