Any chance of some photos of the installation / Kit. It is always good to see a couple of photos of what you get when you order the kit. It is even better to see some photos of an installation. Thanks. Have fun. Thumbs Up

Thanks for that Salty Spuds. I uploaded my first picture into my gallery tonight. It was quite easy. All you need to do is select upload photo from you gallery. When you have done that an orange box will appear with the following text in:

If you have never created a gallery album then you must follow the instructions to create an album of your own BEFORE uploading: Gallery Album Creation Instructions

If you select “Gallery Album Creation Instructions” it will give you a step by step procedure to creating a new Album and uploading pictures into your gallery/album.

Well! I placed the order yesterday afternoon & paid for the "standard" delivery, they arrived lunchtime today. First impressions are that it appears to be quality kit. The manual is clear & in "proper" English not Engrish Whistle As soon as I get around to fitting it I'll update you. I need to get to BAS first to get the xenons activated.

glad you like the English - i wrote it myseld a few years ago from scratch and updated it last year Smile

Look forward to seeing the pics

Just a quickie, managed to get them fitted today, took me about an hour to do both. Tried them out in the dark tonight, the Xenons are excellent but the stock halogen main beam infills are pitiful, very weak & yellow compared to the 5000k xenons. As soon as I get the photos sorted I'll post an update.

Here are the photos of the conversion as promised. Upto now the xenons have performed brilliantly, the only problem being that the halogen infills are p Censored s poor to the point where they might as well not be there. I now need some replacement H7s with a whiter light, any suggestions? I have used the Xenons in anger over the last week & they are a vast improvement over the stock halogens. No problems so far with the ECU.

Before the install

All the kit in place

Get the colour orientation right or they don't work

Ballast in place at side of main beam infill housing. Fixed using the supplied sticky pad.

All fitted & ready to re-fit

Halogen / HID comparison, guess which is which.

All in all it took about an hour to do both, as Ian mentioned, there are no holes to make & the lights could be returned to original in about an hour with no trace of the conversion apart from the Xenon activation in the CCF.

Thanks for the update and pics

Ballasts looks a nice snug fit in the headlamp

For sure the performance in the lights - converted halogen to xenon vs original Xenon is none.
You dont get the bixenon of course but you can put uprated bulbs in the main or for the hard core fit a second kit to the main beam. but for main beam i recommend this is done via a relay and fed from the battery

Any chance of a nice pic with the bonnet down and both lights on Smile you could mail to [email protected] we will blank the number plate out

BTW the glare in the pic from the xenon isnt glare its just the cameras cant cope with the extra light. My OEM xenons are just the same in the pictures.

thanks
ian

I'll do you a photo as soon as the car comes home, my missus drives it, I get the white van!
BTW Ian, I tried to fill in your customer survey but the webpage kept spitting it out saying I hadn't completed question 5, even though I had. You might want to take a look at it.
Which uprated bulbs do you recommend, the Philips or the Osrams?

OK, after attending to her ladyships needs ( I hate filing her teeth Shocked ) I managed to take some photys. Let me know if they are ok or you need some different ones. I managed to get hold of some H7 Osram nightbreakers £14.99 +vat/pair at Makro, they are an improvement on the oem philips main beam, but still obviously yellow compared to the Xenons (5000K) Overall I'm very happy with the conversion, it saved me a mint & is a quantum leap over the oem halogens. The sidelight LEDs finish it off quite nicely, but are not too obvious in the photos due to the bright Xenons.
