Why did they have to make it so much more complicated to get the trim off than on the D3? Just looking at the pictures, I'm terrified I'd break something!

It will be ok, the trim actually comes of a lot easer then it looks and to be honest its easer than a d3.

The trim comes off easy especially when you know how it comes apart. I found the right hand side radio trim a little fidley to get out as it caught on the steering wheel, but as Pete has said it is easy. Once you know how it comes apart you could get the nav screen out in about 10 minutes.
Top job Pete, can you see the interface in that position once the centre console and trim are back in place? MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

This unit allows you to watch TV/DVD or add a reversing camera that will automatically display on the OEM sat nav screen
This is also possible with the D3 and RRS
