Hi all
As the title states I now have Cruise Control on my 2012 GS. I just did not realise how much I missed it, especially with all the 50mph road works on the M1 at the moment.
I purchased the steering wheel switches from forum member Wiggs via this forum. Thank you for the prompt delivery they work perfectly.
The next challenge was removing the steering wheel airbag to fit the switches, I was a bit nervous but followed the advice documented on this forum and confirm it was straight forward.
Next I needed to find someone with diagnostic tool to enable the switches.
I spotted a post from forum member Bodsy saying that he was in my area last Saturday and I was able to make an appointment to meet. Bodsy, a very knowledgeable and pleasant person enabled my switches after a short while and I confirm they work perfectly, thank you very much. I recommend him if anybody needs any functions enabled on their vehicle
I am especially pleased with the result and also that my main dealer told me it was not possible to add cruise to my car, wonder if they will notice when it goes back for service?

I'm surprised to find the D4 GS does not have cruise control as standard. My 59 Plate D3 GS has it fitted.

Sorry to steal a thread
When there are phone buttons fitted (MY13 S) but no cruise control buttons - do I need to order the
cruise control buttons only (part LR050901)? Or do I need to order that small cable inside the wheel (part no LR022150) as well?2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT

Hi I fitted cruise to a 2012 GS UK Spec.
I had radio control buttons only in the left hand control originally
I just purchased the new panel with radio and cruise buttons
It was then a case of swapping them over
No extra wires were required
Hope this helps

Anyone know the correct part number for a Cruise Control Switch for a 12MY D4 GS please? Saw on another thread someone mention a price of around £50 for the part but if I Google LR050901 as quoted above the prices are nearer 200 squid

I imagine Land Rover have now recognised that folks are able to retrofit cruise to lower specced models and have "adjusted" the price accordingly.
That's what they do.

So let me get this right - all you need to get cruise control on a GS is a new button on the steering wheel albeit it costs £200?

As far as I can tell that's correct, but you'll need to activate cruise in the CCF using a diagnostic device like the Gap IID TOOL, or getting someone with the Pro version to activate it for you.D4 GS 12MY
