Geoff - that's a shame would have been ideal that.
Will probably have to go down the simple phased oil change in line with Robbies guide. Just need to have a look out for some life guard 8 oil

Geoff did my 6 Speed today - Top Man, Top Job - and a good chat over a cup of coffee. This guy is one in a million and we are lucky to have people like him around imho

It was about £315 if I remember correctly. The changes were noticeably smoother after, mine had 70k miles.

Not sure if it was having the adaptations reset or the benefits of new transmission fluid but my vehicle has been a revelation since Geoff. did his magic. It is way smoother than it has been in a long time and the acceleration in all gears is significantly better than before.
Now if only I could stop that rear offside brake from squeaking on low speed braking life would be perfect

Geoff, if/when you start to do 8 speed boxes, I'll be up for it. I'm in the North East.

Spoke with a Sealey salesman yesterday trying to sell machines.
They now do a machine for the 8 speed and others as now ZF incorporate thermostats in the gearbox for the oil.
I asked him how they get over the thermostat problem to do a flush ( i personally don't know where the thermostat is located - internally or externally), and bearing in mind this is a salesman and not a technician, he said along the lines of the oil is heated to a temperature that the thermostat operates at and the flush is then conducted using heated oil.
The machine is circa 4K.
