D4 fog lights as cornering lights |
|
I stumbled across a few threads about cornering lights on D4's, a few posts within mentioned about fog lights acting as cornering lights (one side's fog light turns on when the vehicle is in drive and indicates in that direction). Is this a standard thing or something that can be enabled on all using GAP Diagnostic IID Tool CCF Edit? Easiest way to test just have one pers in the car, engine on, transmission in Drive and indicate to one side? Mine - modified MY03 LT L318 Discovery 2a HSE Td5 15P

I believe this is using Osram combined Fog and DRL units in place of the standard units, they come with a controller that handles the DRL part in the kit, however they also will light if the hazard lights are on so can be illegal in some countries.
Would be interested to see what is being used to control the process though if standard fog lights are used as I assume there is some extra wiring involved to provide the power feed for the cornering function Must stop buying shiny toys....
