D4 FBH Intake Howl - Silencer?

My lord the D4 FBH has a fair old intake howl so not sure why LR thought it wise to delete the silencer.

Has anyone added an intake silencer to the D4 FBH and if so, where is the cheapest place to buy the silencer and convoluted pipe?

Seem to remember reading a post where Wiggs said he had stuck a D3 one on there, but as ever can never find it when needed

Not unless you have another one kicking around!

I'll look around on the net or pop into a marine engineering place for one. Seem to remember that the tubing is more expensive than the silencer.

So out of curiosity whats missing on the D4,just the silencer or the tubing as well? If its tubing as well what stops crap gettting sucked into the FBH unit?

No tubing or silencer - would make the infamous FBH mouth-to-mouth a little tricky!

i dont think theres any filtering just the silver corri tube and black silencer thats hollow,i guess the way its placed stops crap getting in,but if its safe to leave it off and the roar is better, mines coming off Whistle
