Bought mine through an agent..... when I ordered in Sept, LR dealer laughed when I asked for discount so took my business elsewhere and got £6k off ..... UK Spec from UK Dealer but through an agent and I am second owner, prefer money in my pocket and not worried about no2 on log book. Procurement process gone well and kept well informed.... delivered to my home on Friday.

Prices will be going up with the VAT increase anyway Was it a sales pitch to get your order in now? - by ordering now did you beat any such additional price increase anyway?

I understand LR normally put up prices in the January timescale, and yes that is before the 17.5% VAT is applied.
Not surprising either , especially on the D4 given the demand for it.

Sandylane - There was early demand for the D3 as well (couldn't get much discount in the early months), but that soon diminished (with £7000+ discounts!) - probably the same for most new models & the trick for the manufacturer is to keep interest going Often LR have "tweaked" the spec slightly to justify price changes
Were you told if the price you pay is based on date of order (now) or date of delivery (might be different) ?

Yep - Paid based on date of order that is why I didn't wait until the New Year. I bet LR increase prices by £1000 in January and that average discounts increase by a £1000 too.... Some extra gadgetry free of charge is welcome though

I was given 9.5% discount and the interest free option which seemed quite good at the time. At the moment it seems 5% is the best they will give, supply is very short and it's even harder to find a new Supercharged Range Rover. They will lose customers to other brands if supply is held back for too long.

I don't think they are intentionally holding back supply but rather struggling to get parts. 2014MY Discovery
