May local dealer told me they cannot retro fit c/c, and they reckon that there would not be the connection between brake control and c/c to cancel cruise if you brake?

Beanie is right get the switch pack if u already haven't disconnect the battery, remove the airbag and fit new switch pack ( if ur considering heated steering wheels and paddles I'd suggest buying all the parts and doing as a oner) reconnect the battery and do the restart and check if cruise works I was lucky and mine worked if not there are plenty of fine gentlemen on here to configure ur settings for you! The stealers are useless God created heavy armour on 06 sept 1916, on the 7th the devil stood to attention!

The cc switch packs just put a wanted thread on here an air bag removal tool and ur good to go once fitted try it see if it works if it does if not ask a never with a IID tool who is local to you to configure ur CCf settings and ur good to go!
If u google how to remove a discovery steering wheel the YouTube how to guide will come up and follow that I did I quite easy enough God created heavy armour on 06 sept 1916, on the 7th the devil stood to attention!
