D4 Cruise control glitch

Anyone else experienced this?

Driving up from the South of France on Sunday. D4 (MY 2011 with 15k miles) had been cruising nicely at around 80mph (legal on the Autoroute...) with cruise control on for a few hours. Traffic ahead slowed so I clicked the cruise "-" control and the "Cruise Speed" indicated on the dash increased by 1 increment (1 mph), followed by a slight speed increase Shocked

Tried the "-" again several times and each time the set speed incremented up. Clicked the "+" as a trial and it also incremented up. Cancelled cruise and reset it, but again both the "+" and the "-" caused the "Cruise Speed" and actual speed to increase.

Cancelled cruise and left it for a few minutes, retried and all was back to normal.

Never had it before and its not occurred again...

I've had similar, the vehicle actually sped up though if I held down the minus button longer to allow the momentum to subside it then drops speed- it appears the vehicle carries too much momentum to react immediately (not surprising considering the weight) .
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

The CC decrease button on my MY10 3.0 caused speed increase if on overrun until a s/w update in April this year. Now it behaves.

This usually happens when the car is going faster than the setspeed (because of a long downhill section for example).

Been a couple of topics previously on this subject.

Mine did this a few times when I first got it, recently I haven't noticed it so I think it may have 'learned'.

Unfortunately it wasn't an overrun issue - I've experienced this a few times as I'm sure most have.

The Cruise Setspeed on the dash incremented up as the "-" button was pressed. Normally this would decrement. The actual vehicle speed "should" follow this but as has been said there may be a lag.

Never mind, never happened again - just wondered if anyone else had seen it. Its a Sept 2010 MY 2011 so a software update may be all that is needed.
