D4 crank

Has there been any success rebuilding a crank shaft on a d4 , I've come across 1 which had a front oil seal fail hence loosing the oil , it's had a new seal in new belt but there's a slight noise which we think is big ends . Any suggestions , feedback on this would be appreciated ?
