Yep, a complete lottery and one I won’t be playing in again after over 30 years of LR ownership. They are just not worth the hassle. Thumbs Up

Quite sad really. I've not bee in the brand for as long as others. Had a FL2 for that last 6 years as the wife car, that's now at a 146k miles and before me was my mums. Thats hardly had anything done on it.

I have had the D4 since March 2018 and loving it and so far so good, 55k on the clock at the mo.

Re Warranty direct (https://www.warrantydirect.co.uk/), there is the following statement on their site when you request a quote
"Your vehicle is NOT modified and/or used off-road for leisure purposes"

I go off road, its a Discovery! I'm assuming that others with cover never go off road??? or I have the wrong company??

I have discussed "off-road" with WD.

I live on a BOAT & they agree that it's a public highway.

I have told them that I go to country houses, farms etc.. with long drives which are not public roads - they agree these are OK.

They also agree that visiting public events, which mean parking in & driving across farm tracks & fields, like Goodwood Festival of Speed, race meetings & point-to-points, dog field trials etc are OK.

That suits me; you may want to ask for more.
