D4 2012 model - better ?
Curently got a 2010 D4 and am thinking about changing up to the '8 speeder'
I test drove one and think I found it more responsive, quieter engine note, a bit quicker, 'flatter' cornering
and more insulated from road
************or was it all in my head*************
to anyone who has one what do you feel are the driving differences ?

I have had mine for about 4 weeks and would agree with all of the above. The flappy paddles are great when using them for a more rapid drive through country roads and the 8 speed is soooooo smooooth. However, having towed with the 8 speed box it seemed to spend all of the time chaning up and down, would be alright on a long motorwy run I would think. Apart from that I love it, keep finding odd things they have chaged and improved so I would say go for it. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

its 2 years old in July so thought about trading in for a new one. I can get a good deal on a car and private finance via work, so thought about getting an XS or HSE.
Would then trade the D3 and D4 in for another D4, but probably a GS and transfer all the stuff off the 2010D4 and D3 to the new GS.
Cant quite decide. if I get an HSE through work then it becomes financially a bit more difficult to buy two, but if I go for an XS and a GS then its easier... if that makes sense ?Duncan

I must admit, I would definitely go for the 8 way adjustable electric seat option if I was thinking of changing up to the latest Discovery 4 model. Particularly for the adjustable seat base........2016 Discovery 4 Commercial
2019 Discovery 5 HSE
