D3 won't start, hazards flash once, doors unlock once
Evening all,
MY05 SE D3 manual won't start, put the key in ignition, start sequence begins, hazards flash once, all doors unlock once, SRS airbag light stays illuminated and the vehicle won't crank at all.
Also noticed over the last week or so the trip occasionally resets itself at random intervals but always after the vehicle has been shutdown & left, usually overnight.
Any suggestions please?

The instruments contain the imboliser code so that’s one possibility.

Hi Pete,
As in, the cluster is faulty & lost the immobiliser code?
The vehicle has done this a few times over the past week but always started after a few minutes. Tonight it wouldn't do anything with over an hour of trying.
When it does start, it sounds normal, doesn't seem like a battery fault / doesn't struggle to turn over.Tom

Morning all,
Further to this, went to the vehicle this morning, started fine - exactly as it normally does, didn't struggle starting at all so appears the battery is OK? It's also cold in Bristol this morning (2°C).
However, when it started it gave an HDC fault followed by park brake fault, which I've seen on other posts can be a symptom of a battery on the way out?
Current varta battery has been fitted since Oct 2015.
*Edit - battery test conducted, appears to be working fine. Only thing is it's 170A Less than rate, but this increased during the test from 663 to 670 in the space of 30 seconds.

That's quite old for a battery, and Varta are not as good as they used to be. A new battery is a good starting point. You can't diagnose electrical faults with a bad battery.Richard
