My D3 is now with the dealer for the following:

Transmission range change fault
Special functions not avaiable fault
Stereo output cutting out
LCD display flickering
Fuel flap stuck
Now tearing around York in a 3dr Freelander SE TD4.

I've had the special programs fault message.
The dealer hooked it up to the computer and found about 15 communication faults.
They said these were nothing to worry about Zermatt silver 06 reg.
Gone but not forgotten !!!

Well after 3 days in a freelander got my D3 back again. All sorted they told me, when I asked what they did, they said some software alterations. So on my way home stereo starts playing up. On climbing the 1" kerb onto my drive the suspension light comes on. On restarting more error messages appear. Finally cleared it and all was well. Except later I go out in it for a bit and when trying to accelerate down a slip road to join the dual carriageway it sticks in gear(auto) and does 40mph with a nasty smell coming from it. So I pull over and do a restart and alls well again.
Could my dealer have altered the warning messages? On start up a message appears and disappears too quickly to read. And I always used to get transmission range change unavailable, but don't now despite the gearbox fault.
