Are the suspension mounting points the same between a coiler and an air suspension model?
For all of your trouble it must have been easier to tick the air suspension option.

the ride is fairly twitchy (the car seems to pitch on the coils) and i need to be able to get the car higher off the ground when off road. the rear exhausts, where they run under the drive shafts, have very little ground clearance

Norto, any progress on this? I am considering doing something similar, though I enjoy my ride quality, I just desperately need more ground clearance.
