D3 leaking intercooler pipe? cat screaming noise like turbo?

Hi all

so i just got my lower arms, wheel bearing and tie ends replaced, and after an hour came another problem. so i started to hear this type of cat screaming noise, like turbo sound, as you get in one of them modified cars with a turbo fitted, i still had 50 miles to drive home, i blocked the noise on the way home with some music and then i got home and realised its now gone worse, and its just like a sharp noise as i accelerate hard, only happens when you let go off gas, no noise. i checked the intercooler hose for any rips but couldnt visibly see anything. however after removing the shield on the drivers side arch, i could see an oil leak? ive attached some pictures and a video link to the noise that is happening. could someone please help? should i remove the hose completely and inspect it?

Video Link:

any advice?

thanks

I had a whooshing type noise when slowing down, when accelerating I had no power but a plume of black smoke observed at the back of the vehicle. On inspection I found the intercooler hose as picture by yourself - this had a split in it where it attaches to the top.
I too had oil around the hose at the bottom. I have since replace the hose with a silicone one.

Good luck

its really not good to rev your engine and then turn it off at the key.

It's the fastest way to knacker your turbo !

Oil leaks are fairly normal on that bottom hose. Just depends how much

I've got a intercooler pipe you can have if it helps.
I just replaced mine with a silicone one but the original LR one wasn't cracked yet. It's yours for the postage cost

it was exactly that noise when slowing down at the start, its now no longer there and its the noise on the video. i have no split on the top, i may remove the hose and inspect, its possible its got a rip elsewhere in the middle of the hose?

thanks

does anyone think it could be the turbo hose? the little one which i think is behind the left arch trim? or is that generally not the issue?

hoping to get someone to help me by sitting in the car and revving so i can perhaps trace the noise from somewhere.

Sounds like turbine bearing failure to me Sad
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
