Hi All,
Had the same problem with mine - whistling/screeching sound on acceleration. Thought it was the crossover pipe but turned out to be a small 'u' shaped flex type pipe that connects the EGR to the manifold down near the turbo that had split.

It's easier to see the U.
It's in the far end of the EGRs

Hey CJP,
Didn't actually do it myself, local Indy diagnosed it. I supplied the part and I think they charge about 2hr labour!

hey all, so in the end i didnt ever get time to get under the car and look at it, dropped it off to a local garage, they said its the crossover pipe, its got a leak by the flexi bit. although they wouldnt take up the job. ive been told its a body/gearbox off job. i have seen threads where people have done it without taking anything off, its a pain i can imagine. does anyone know where i can get this fixed and how much for? or if you done it yourself, how much hassle was it? i think im leaning more towards doing it myself. please let me know your thoughts, i don't want to spend more money on this considering ive spent a hell of a lot in the past 12 months. and as a 25 year old who has had their car stolen previously, my insurance costs are crazy and thats coming up next month.
any help would be appreciated, or maybe someone i can pay to do this for me that has done it to their car?
thanks all
