Just had a quote from mycar... for a new key. £185 blade cut and programmed. I’m gonna try the eBay route all in for £40 with blade cut. Then I just need to hunt down a local forum member with a programming tool. Speaking of which (perhaps for another thread) what diagnostics tools are recommended. I see one member has some for sale (£400).

Key programming Warwick
Okay so I’ve opted for the ‘flea bay’ key it arrived today. I’ve spoken to the local key cutters and that is sorted.
My appeal to the D3 owners in and around Leamington Spa / Warwick. Is, is there anyone with the correct programming tool I think it’s a Gap or IID tool, that would be willing to help set the key software up?

I'm in the same boat, are you getting your key cut by the guys that yogi has recommended on Heathcote?.
By the looks of it they could possibly program as well?.
I was thinking of getting the key cut by them and getting Town and country to program if the Heathcote guys can't do both.

Cost of keys
The place at Heathcote wanted £185 for key and programming. I do very much get that every business has overheads and cost to run it and the ultimate reason to work is profit, but sometimes.... give us a chance
I got the key £18. Timpsons in Kenilworth £10-£20 to cut. So it just leaves me needing some way of programming it.

Think I might go the Simpsons route , funnily enough I'm in Kenilworth tomorrow working and then go to Town and Country to get it programmed.

Nice to meet you today...
As discussed, Timsons in Leamington wouldn't cut the new key so I called around to the lads at Heathcote.
They will cut for £20.00 but the card machine was faulty and I hadn't any cash on me :: so will try again tomorrow with some cash on me just in case.
