D3 Dead battery

Please help. I replaced my battery because of this. My TDV6 is standing for a day the the battery is dead. Could it be the altenator. Agents diagnostics show no fault on the altenator or anywhere else. Charging is at 14.2V.

If you have access to an amp clamp , go around all the wires on either the positive terminal or negative terminal , wait for the D3 to go to sleep and see what amps drain you are getting. Up to 0.2amp would be acceptable , anything over this , and I would imagine a lot higher reading for it to drain the battery over 1 day , you will need to find the circuit it's on Thumbs Up

You could try pulling a fuse one at a time with the help of an assistant which will point you closer to the fault.

If you haven't got an amp clamp then disconnect a battery terminal and use a multimeter on amps and put the meter in series (one end of the meter on battery post and other end of the meter on the terminal)

HTH Thumbs Up

SNIP:

Shocked Make sure that you check the Amp range on whatever meter you use. You MAY need as much as 120Amps.
