Hi All
Bit of a strange issue , whilst on holiday in Cornwall with the caravan on the last day we packed the D3 with all the gear through, the night the car kept unlocking and locking itself.
Eventually I sorted with the fob.
It did the same last night it was locked and a few hours later it unlocked itself then relocked and so on a couple of times.
When I tried to lock it with the fob straight after it opened it would blip the horn as if a door was open.
Leave it a while and it will lock but unlock a little while later , when I locked it again I think I got 4 flashes on the hazard lights.
It did lock after leaving it 10 mins after it unlocked itself.
Any clues ??
cheers Phil

Hiya

Could the green wires that sit down by the passenger side be causing issues, bad connections

Or could the loom be sitting in water that side

Just an idea

Thanks

I would say that this idea has legs as we do occasionally get water in the foot well
Both times this has happened it has rained or I washed it
Does my head as we can have a proper down pour and we get no water and sometimes we do .

Looked at the roof drains, clear , may need to seal screen top and fit a deflector above the pollen filter intake

What am I looking for ,is it easy to get at mate in regard to the green wires .

Thanks'

Phil.

Hi phil

Ur so welcome and fingers crossed is something daft like this splice

Found the link for u regarding the repair

https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/central-loc...een+splice

Ref water ingress, haven’t got sunroofs on mine but when I first bought mine I found water in the footwell, sorry for the bad pic but noticed the door loom connector wasn’t fitted correctly which was allowing water ingress, along with badly fitted windscreen exterior A panels

So removed both windscreen A panels, fitted new clips , along with doing the pillar mod that blanked off the bottom clip holes

Also removed my scuttle panel, cleaned it all up , resprayed it matt black along with all new clips

Heard about that ref doing a mod above the pollen filter

Hope this helps

Ps, just thought, isn’t there elbows behind the front wheel arch liners for the sunroof drains , see some threads where these can cause issues , also see there suppose to be PITA to get to

Update
Last night it drove me mad during the night ,lock unlock ,lock ,unlock, horn tooting for door open warning
So much so I got up and disconnected the battery
Early finish today so I set about it
First looked at the multi plugs behind the battery all dry
Next all locks got a blast of WD
Then I set about the splice option
Easy enough if you approach it correct ,I removed seat side trim all went well
Not water but just a tad damp
Could I Censored find fine the splice at the most talked about place, eventually I found it just under bonnet catch area
It was rotten fell apart
So did the repair
Also drilled a drainage hole in the floor bottom with a rubber open grommet to help prevent it rusting back
Hopefully all good so far
Thanks for the link guys

It didn’t work for long when it got dark it started to cycle the central locking again
Checked the rework on the splice and did it again for pease of mind
One thing I know is my central locking works off the fob with all 3 wires separated,is the normal
See how it goes today

Update
It seems to be at piece at the moment
I cleaned the bonnet latch sensor along with re splicing the 3 wires under the near side fill in the loom
Seems ok at moment
Fingers crossed
Took the A pillar ext trim off and blocked the holes and sealed Down the screen edge and top corner ,quite a potential ingress point up,there
We’ll see
Cheers
Phil
