What stereos have people replaced the OEM unit with and the SATNAV Screen please or can you just put a DD stereo unit with satnav in place...Thanks

You might want to do a search here since there are at least a few long threads on replacing the existing audio system but what it amounts to is this:
- if you have low-line system (1 CD changer, 4 speakers) you can replace it with any double din system just like that since the speakers are directly connected to the factory stereo, no magic involved.
- if you have a high-line or premium system the speakers are connected to an amplifier, the amplifier is connected to all other entertainment using a fiber optic ring... including the screen. While it is possible to circumvent and replace all of this the general consensus seems to be that it isn’t usually worth it.

Hi i replaced the stereo with a DD media center, had the bas model so no screen, thought about one including satnav but went for a seperate nav unit for upgrades etc also worked out cheaper and i could position it where i wanted it,, I have a unit for sale if your interested (on another thread) D1 200TDI 3 Door (Most expensive Land Rover ever as it got me hooked)
