D on dash goes off under braking
Hey all,
Went to LRO over the weekend and off raoded both days using all the settings on the TR.
On the way home noticed that the "D" for drive turns off under braking and comes on again when brakes are released which is not too much of a problem.
Sometimes though it doesn't come back for a second or two and when pressing the throttle there is no drive.
Any known issues.

saw a silver D3 with tailpipe trims and a mud brown lower half blast past us in the showground yesterday, it looks if the liquid mud was just about to the top of the wheels - it gave a nice two tone effect.

Had a similar issue with mine. Turns out that there is a known issue with part of the selector linkage seizing and causing this problem. Take it to the dealer and they should fix it under warranty (if you still have warranty remaining that is!)Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

yes the extrernal linkage under the veh on the gearbox selector, the pivot seizes and then causes hard gear change and this concern, there is a TSB on this, the dealer should be aware, you replace the wavy washer and clean the pivot and lubricate and it will then feel like new, remember if doing it yourself to remove when in park

If your not in warranty, the part costs around £20 + VAT, and a dealer will probably charge about half an hours labour, but in reality, its only a 10 minute job
