Seen my first one at Farnell's today, HSE in Black. I think the interior is fantastic but externally it hasn't really changed other than the lights and grille, it looked very good from the front in Black but the rear end looked a little dated TBH. The lettering for the model name etc looks very cheap and needed freshening up IMHO.

Bronze for me - I liked it from the outset, it shouldn't show too badly that it hasn't been washed for months and its a D4-only colour, not D3.

I quite like that too, it's different. Need to see one for real in that colour to decide though. I'm leaning towards the Santorini Black though, it looks very smart and (hard hat on) I am not taking this one off road much so not as worried about scratches. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

The only problem with black is that it's never clean; dusty as soon as you've cleaned it! It IS beautiful, nonetheless!
I am looking at a Stornoway Gray, like my current FL2. And it matches perfectly with the new front silver grill.
Looking through the LR site exterior colours (not even close to reality I must say), the white one looks also great. I wonder if someone could find photos of the D4 in other colours than the bronze one.

Hello just registered but have been reading disco3 for a while,
been into guy salmon wakefield for some warranty work on my fl2 and had a look at the D4 gs they had in the compound, very nice love the new interior and with the new 3lt diesal, i think i've found my next car...
now just need to get the wife to agree and find the money..
but to get the same spec as my fl2 gs, i'd have to add cruise control, auto lights, auto wipers and front parking sensors and fog lights, these should be standard on a car costing £35,000, not much if you say it quick enough
cheers H

Hi all past a car transporter this morning 11/08/09 full of new unregistered D4s, travelling up the M18 just past Doncaster. It turned off at J5 services/M180. All D4s were blue and black with one bronze at the rear which stood out. Not sure about the new style back lights.!!!!
