CTEK Multi MXS 7.0 Battery Charger at Halfords
So had to buy a new CTEK after my old 5.0 gave up the ghost , think it was over 6 x years old
This time went with the MXS 7.0 because of the handy 12 Vdc supply feature
Wished to share as I’ve seen them for going for well over £100 , using my trade card came out @£80.00 delivered , plus comes with a 1PC Connect Clamp and a 1PC Connect Eyelet M6

My CTEK 10 failed after a similar period, and I have read of a few on this forum suffering failures. Meanwhile a basic charger with an analogue ammeter I bought from Halfords 25+ years ago is still going strong. I won’t be buying CTEK again - they really shouldn’t fail within this timescale. An ex-Disco3 / FFRR / I-Pace owner ......

Sorry to hear that , this time buying it from halfords will be a lot easier to take it back if anything goes wrong within the 5 x year warranty period
Funny enough My dad has one of those old style chargers , must be a good 25+ years old and still going
Main reason got the CTEK was the convenience of plugging it into the 12s socket
Hear NOBO is supposed to be good

I have the same Ctek Gary. I bought the extension cable and fitted larger eyelet and ran the cable down to the front grille so now I can charge without having to lift the bonnet!I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

That’s a good idea running it to the front grill, have just the eyelets attached to the battery , must confess bought some 12s trailer wire and made up an extension that way
Particularly handy at the moment with the D3 off the road so at least the battery won’t go flat

Just seen this thread. I’ve had a CTek replaced under the Halfords five year warranty but was told that the new unit would be only covered for the remaining period from the original purchase Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!
