Does anyone know if he inside of the mxs10 has a build date stamped in it as well?FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner

Hi.
So I need to replace in the input fuse LF T3.15A and the THERMISTOR marked SOK 103.
on a 10A version
The THERMISTOR must be PTC type I would think. Haven't found a suitable one yet

Just in case anyone else has a similar issue as me (trying to get a 'dead' MXS10 repaired at sensible cost).
I've found a guy in North wales who has experience with these; given that a replacement unit is now best part of £140, an initial estimate for repair at £60 has got to be worth a go.
I'll update on progress as and when it happens, fingers crossed.

Mine was totally dead - one minute it was working fine, the next...nothing. No lights at all.
I bought it on a Group Buy ( via Rockcrawler) but when it failed it was just out of warranty so I didn't do anything about until I found it languishing in the garage last week (some 2 years after the fateful day).
We will see what the prognosis is once it gets stripped by the guys.

Mine 25 went t ts up 7 or 8 months ago , still got it just in case it can be fixed , so it sounds like there is hope -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

Initial diagnosis, awaiting a final response on Monday
".......and blown a transformer winding open circuit and also 3 other components.....have it working with another transformer for test wired out of the case... but the transformer blown is only 15x10mm the test one is 25x20mm and wont fit.
I have many scrap ones so trying to get one that fits"
So, I'm still hoping

Just for info.
I keep thinking about a bigger ctek. However. My optimate 2 amp conditioner is now 13 years old and still works perfectly, been on many cars including 2 discovery range rovers etc.
Not sealed and for indoor use only but i leave it under the car in all conditions all of the time.

CETEK.. Not as long lasting as you would hope for the money.

you have to press a button on the 3.6 to make it start.
sometimes the buttons fail
