CTEK Charger - Pics!
During the 'big freeze' in Jan my poor old Freelander diesel Van with 140k on the clock (LR Special Vehicles made)didn't want to start, the battery is less than a year old but she wouldnt have it. Jump leads got her going though.
So went in search of a charger and CTEK was recomeneded by the forum. Bought the middle range XS-3600 one for £44 delivered and must say its bloody good. I left it on the van overnight, the temp got down to -10C and the charger has a 'sub zero' setting so activated that, next morning disconnected charger, cranked the car and the starter motor almost flipped the van over it turned over that fast!
Also was getting the 'limited programs' message on the disco so gave it an overnight charge and again the starting is completely different just flies over. Am going to get a tow hitch electrical connector so can charge through the Tow plugs to save lifting the bonnet as both vehicles have tow electrics.

Good deal, I'm in the market for one myself, could you share where you bought it from, most places seem to be either £60 'ish or charge extra for posting.

Thanks pom, the price there seems to have gone up th £49, but there seems to be a few on ebay for around £45. The tow electric plug in seems like a great idea.
Cheers

Pom, have you already sourced the tow electrics adaptor? If so, is it from the same supplier (can't seem to find it on their site)?
Thanks

Do you have the LR towbar electrics? If so, then you need a white socket (or grey ish) and soem 7 core trailer wire. Simply connect the charger to the permanently positive wire and earth. Will get the pinouts from another thread, hold on......Bodsys Brake Bible
