I've added the radio control buttons to the steering wheel with no technical issues or glitches at all. I was wondering if it's just as easy to add the cruise control buttons on the other side and whether they'd work without a visit to my local dealership?

nickschof,
I was thinking to do the radio buttons as per alinton's instructions. My question here is that the Settings Menu in message centre works with the new buttons or not for you? (for alinton it did not work).
Unfortunately it didn't have any effect on the settings menu!

I did the same back in April Last year. Radio works fine but NO CRUISE! (has to be done by dealer with software) There was a chance recently that my dealer would have to activate cruise on the Land Rover Assistance base vehicle. It never happened. Apparently they were going to fool the ECU into thinking it was a higher spec model, with assistance from Solihull. The latter was the key, they could not do it without Solihull's input.
I think at this time it's a non-starter.Discovery 3 'S' Bonatti Grey.

WHoah. Go back a sec! How do you fit the stereo buttons on the steering wheel? Can't find it anywhere in the "tips & tricks" section...2005 Disco 3 TDV6 7 seater. Leather, DVD, fully colour-coded.
