Has anyone had problems with cruise control just 'packing up'?
It was working until last week and now it just refuses to work...maybe it's the steering wheel switch? Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!

I've had it a couple of times where it's just failed to come on. After a restart - no problem. Thought I'd just ask about it when going for the first service. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

I have this one quite regularly... Sometimes it works and sometimes not... Even a restart doesn't cure it all the time...
I'll look into it... Later...

There seems to be a trend with this !
I had the same fault - intermittently not working until one day it failed on the way to the dealers (for them to look at the fault ! what luck) and they diagnosed a faulty 'clock spring' or control yoke behind the steering wheel which transmits the steering wheel signals to the fixed cabling system.
They have replaced this part and all seems well now (that is until it fails again )

Tut tut TC, you don't listen do you. Can you remember when I asked you to bring your TC chipped D3 to Rockingham, I was with you first to try your car. I also told you that my car was being repaired because cruise control had packed up.
Cruise also failed to cancel one day when leaving a motorway, very annoying.
Reason, the steering wheel slip ring had broken. Car in for a week for them to find that out with a Gaydon techy as well. Now sorted, wish the rest were.
