| Cruise control and clunking noise? |

Used cruise control most of yesterday but towards the end of the day on the motorway at 70mph in cruise there was a clunk noise and what felt like the gearbox pulling out of the current gear and then going back into the same gear?
I also felt the clunk and there was a momentary drop in speed and then it settled itself back up to the cruise speed.
Quite frightening whilst on the motorway! Anyone else had this?
