Discovered the D4 has a dirty great crack under the passenger side windscreen wiper. Are there any companies to avoid when doing the work (live near swindon) or is it better to take the car to the local dealer and get them to do it?.2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux

just use autowindscreens as you'll probably be covered onyour insurance anyway. Specify that you want someone who has fitted one to a Discovery 3/4 before and you want new replacement clips for the a pillar.
I had mine done and the guy didn't bring replacement clips, he bought complet a pillar trims
Knew what he was doing and all sorted in the works car park.
Speak to the guy when he arrives and don't be afraid to insist it gets done at a dealer if yoiu're not confident he has everything Bodsys Brake Bible

Had 3 new screens (on 2 original d3s, not facelifted ones) from Autoglass though insurance, no issues whatsoever.

Autoglass replaced my D4 screen and I was happy with their work, no issues. They also did a good job repairing the chip I that I got in the brand new screen less than 24 hrs after it being fitted, aaarrgh!
Windscreen replaced by Autoglass in Swindon this afternoon. Great service once they had the right screen, apparently 2 different types of rain sensor and the screen required, depends on that!2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux

My windscreen developed a dirty great crack this morning in the snow. I'm planning to get autowindscreens to fix it next week, but what should I look out for? What are the clips that have been mentioned on here?

The clips are the ones that hold the external "A" pillar trims in place, the trims need to come off to replace the screen and at least some of the clips usually break.
If not replaced you'll end up with the trim flapping about in the breeze and rain water getting in through the holes where the clips should be.Clive

Hi Sazza,
Just to make sure, ALL clips should be replaced with new ones.
Best Wishes,

Cheers. Got it booked in with Autoglass on Monday. I shall grill him to make sure it's done properly
