Corrieyairack Pass - cor blimey!!
I was priveledged to drive the D3 over the Corrieyairack pass yesterday. All I can say is you Scots may have only one true green lane, but its possibly the best in the whole of Great Britain, I am seriously impressed.
The scenery and the view from the summit is simply breathtaking.
Needless to say the D3 made it without too much trouble, the 110 with me also made it with no drama.
If I can find a BB connection up here I will post some great pics later.

Errr, no. This is in my car so will not be risking those particular tubes (as oppose to wife's alread dinged tubes). Rear tow hitch might be an issue but a bigger issue will be "the boss" saying No as we'll have the mutts in the back.

Was her idea, honest, It stopped me going out to spend more hard earned on a Defender. Was eyeing up a pre-registered 90 XS with 4k off list price, then wife realised that a bit of dosh spent on her car was a bargain!
In that pic, D3 was not so clean, washed it on Saturday & it is now shining. Hate to confess but now wash cars every 2 weeks, used to be every 2 years. That might stop in winter!

Too true, would be against our human rights to work us too hard! My supervisor thinks I should be doing the PhD in 3 years, I'm thinking more like 5! 8)

The sign seems to have been changed. Does this mean the bridge has now been repaired?
(Though I'm not sure what the problem was anyway)
As it was in june...

I did not get that far, we went from Laggan to the summit, then back. I wanted to go all the way to the end, but time was against us.
This signpost is at the Laggan end of the pass, and the bridges have not been repaired. FWIW, I don't think the council would get an award from the 'plain English' campaign for this sign.
There have been hundreds of vehicles crossed this bridge over the past few years without incident and I reckon the sign has only been put there as a form of discouragement. In truth, the road is still on the statute books as the 'Kings Highway', and theoretically the council should be maintaining it for that reason.
I remember the first time I crossed the bridge in a 1 week old D1 XS. S**t myself after reading the sign
