Correct Tyre Pressures for 2011 Discovery 4 - 2.7l V6 Diesel |
|
I'm sure this has been covered before, but was wondering if anyone can advise me of optimum tyre pressures to run General Grabber AT2 255/60R/18 on my Discovery. Currently at 35PSI front and 38 PSI at back, but they still look like they should be inflated more. Appreciate any ideas on pressures for rocky off-roading and sand driving.
Best Regards.

My experience suggests 2 psi all round above the LR recommended pressures for standard tyres when in normal on-road/off-road mode. I don't have sufficient rocky off-roading and sand driving experience to comment though.
Excellent life - great tyre.

I thought recommended was 36psi for the front, 38psi at the back. Off-road you'll need to experiment a bit, I usually go down to 26psi on dirt roads and rocks. On sand go lower still, to 15-18psi. If you're still struggling in sand you can go a bit lower still, but don't make any sharp steering movements.
