So the Cooper STT 80/20 tyres are fitted and these are the immediate findings.
They are noisy and sound like a Military 110. Noise level in the car has risen, but not too bad.
The handling on road is a little cautious and over steer is now acute, especially over 50 mph, but that may be tyre pressure adjustment.
Wander is also evident to a very slight degree, which is typical with off road specialsit tyres.
The 17" wheels of course are thinner than the 18 and 19, so maybe I can lower the pressure slightly , but not too much as roll can come into play then.
Wheel nuts tightened to 140 nm.
Stone throwing is not quite as bad as I thought, but they do throw stones.
Off road is to be tried on Saturday.
