Have just noticed coolant weeping around the black rubber bung on top of the expansion tank after short journeys - FBH was on both times?
Is this normal - cannot recall noticing beforehand?
Thanks
Adam

Sorry, read this as Coolant Wee page - thought it was a novel form of antifreeze/summer coolant
Oh come on - it is early morning!

Adam, happened to mine.
I took off filler cap to release pressure, then unscrewed the small black bung. The coolant drops as the air gets in.
The required tool for the bung is a xB2317 antimagnetic cross-slot screwdriver.
OK, so I made that up; I used a coin
When I took the bung off, there was a small strand of fibre there that just prevented the bung from sealing properly. It looked like a shred of cotton off a cloth. I removed this and re-tightened the bung, replaced the filler cap and had no seeps since.
Oh, the air in the tank below the bung purges itself during your first drive... Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?
