Thanks good news Ron Also relatively painless to what I could have been.
Makes weighing up your 'offer' a little easier now.

Good news ronp ,if it is an internal leak, it looks like the fact that you had the egr valves blanked off has saved coolant entering the inlet manifold / engine, now that could have been nasty / expensive

The leak in the egr cooler was passing through the egr valve.
But it wasn't since I had them blocked up last week that a drip started to show.
Begins to stack up now why the local garage couldn't find a leak at the time.
And then when I get it back and have a look under, there was the leak.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Anyone still got that picture that Nick (TLO) had of the egr coolers? Think I may have this problem. Had loads of smoke all of a sudden so you could not see behind me then blanked the egr's which has stopped the majority of it but still have some grey/white smoke and have been emptying my header tank although very slowly for some time? Also would you just recommend bypassing them or replacing? If anyone has done ths work would appreciate any advice as my LR dealer are unlikely to get involved in blanking and bypassing.

Hi Ron. I have exactly the same problem as you had here, did you get this sorted? Was it the egr coolers?
Kind regards

Im sure Ive read on here somewhere where someone had blanked off the coolant supply to the egr valves, if you search theres a couple of good diagrams/schematics of the cooling system and you can buy the blanks off of ebay.
