I really hope so; if that's where your water's going it's going to get messy and you'll be moving up a level or two from mere ear steam.
I do think it's very unlikely; there's no way the 'box would still be working with 5Litres+ of water in it.
I've still got my money on the EGR coolers Wink

Ronp, hi mate I had the same proplem. After chasing around all sorts of ideas I took the sound proofing cover and had a look around. Just at the top of the engine three coolant pipes came together at a tee piece. This was white plastic and had a sensor in the top of it. It turned slightly but I couldn't pull out. As engine speed rose and pressure the sensor eased up and coolant sprayed out. I was topping up with four litres of coolant after 50 miles. New tee piece sorted the problem.

EGR coolers is a good bet

Is there any steam from the exhaust
Dom had an issue with his before he went on holiday a while ago and the cooler was leaking into the manifold
after leaving the engine running for a while you could see a slight steam effect from the exhausts.

edit
Just read the whole post, no steam Embarassed

Even if the EGR's are blanked off ??? - well they were since Thurs.
But even since getting my D3 back, I've only done about 2 miles and when I checked today, my expansion tank was empty. Confused
But I also noted a damp patch underneath the D3, and a suspended drip on the chassis - yes, it was coolant.
But not enough to empty ther resevoir.
And then again, garage said they checked for leaks and couldn't find any!!!
They must've had Stevie Wonder under there checking it out Evil or Very Mad

Is the turbo on the D3 water cooled?

I've had leaks there on other cars in the past and hard to spot them as the turbo's that hot it just evaporates the coolant

Dealer just got back to me.
It's the EGR Cooler at £136
A *Valve at £139
A couple of Gaskets at £10
Total cost of job £528 Sad
At least it's not a cracked cylinder head or gasket

*not an EGR valve - egr's are blanked off.
So what valve is it?
Also, don't understand why I need an EGR cooler when they're blocked off Confused
Can someone shed some light on this?

Typically parts are not in stock and may take a few days.
So, will have to use and keep topping up next week when towing tintent on hol.

That is comparatively good news (compared to the other potential scenarios)!

How much of this will the AA warranty cover Question Whistle
