Control buttons on steering wheel gone crazy |
|
I have problems with the various controls on the steering wheel. Sometimes the cruise control won't pick up(after I pull over and stop the engine it is fine again), when adjusting the volume nothing happens or the cd skips to the next track. When I want to skip to a next track the volume goes up. All unstrctured random errors. Anybody experienced this before and any idea about what might cause these problems?
Thanks.

Clock spring went on my first D3 causing all of your symptoms
BTW - It's the flexi-coupling between wheel and steering column loom "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

AFAIK it is a safety issue as the airbag uses that part too. So get it fixed might even be waranty. Roel
