Connector by airbox

Connector by airbox

While doing the air con rad today, I found this connector by the airbox.

Someone’s linked the pins and taped over it.

I’m guessing a sensor or something was on the side of the airbox which is missing now?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks. Did searches for plugs near airbox but couldn’t find anything definitive. Does it need that jumper wire?

That thread is for a 6 pin plug behind the grill, this is a two pin plug behind the headlight?

I thought the delivery connector was by the battery box and as they have nothing plugged in normally the pins shouldn't be shorted.

It's for the bonnet switch. Purple/Orange + Black wires.

A previous owner has had a faulty bonnet microswitch, and has bridged the connector as a fix.
