"Nokia"? That sounds 1998...You mean to connect a phone which does not have a bluetooth connection which works with the audio system?

For the phone cradle and Nokia phone
Did they just do the cradle for the 6230 or different ones for all Nokias?

Is it possible to link a cable to the plug where the cradle clicks into and then hitch a 'modern' phone [=newer as my '06 D3] to it, like a N95.... I can connect with bleutooth, but no luck in transferring the phonebook, not to speak off 'voice control' ..My '2' is considered to be 'zero' , tried all kinds of slang I can think off...
They (LR) did about three different modules (I think) but then stopped - probably because phone design kept changing.
As for using voice control - works well in mine - but then I'm from Solihull so my accent is probably the same as the designer. Perhaps try speaking brummy? Mark.

yeah like the prev post said they stopped due to the speed technology was changing it wasnt possible for them to manufacture the software for each and every phone what came out plus with the phone styles changing ie. slide flip candy bar... they just couldnt keep up and decided to jack it in as a bad job ha...
Not at all. Fit the appropriate legacy phone and holder and you never need to touch it again. Set your current pocket/handbag gizmo to transfer calls that you don't answer and you get full facilities when it comes through to the car.
It is also there for you when you forget your fashion accessory or the battery is flat. Oh - and it works with a proper external antenna so it gets good coverage.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

So now I got me a cradle CR-3 [seems there's a CR-24 around used in later Ford models??]. Now I am actually looking which phone to put in. Nokia support forum says ; The Nokia CR-3 has the following compatible handsets: 3100, 6100, 6220, 6230, 6230i, 6610, 6610i, 6820, 6822, 7210, 7250.
Then I discovered on a german site that the phone in the cradle switches off when the car is, but it never switches ON again, so you still would have to handle the phone... Now I found [working from the other end,my present phone N95 8Gb] this device : THB Bury THB System 9 Base Plate Premium . This is supposedly the same as CR-3 does in the LR setup. It seems to be compatible with at least the '6220 classic' as well as my N95 8Gb... So maybe I can connect the 'THB' to the 'POP PORT' of the CR-3... without blowing things up ???? Then I could do everything with my present phone, forget about duosim's / transferring calls / starting phones in my car....All of this because the bleutooth does not want to transfer my phonebook to the car [or the car doesn't accept, whatever...]. Which might be important to know ; the lay-out of the 'POP PORT' ... http://nokia-tuning.net/index.php?s=pinout_popport
But all the above turns out to be irrelevant : I only need an update for the bleutooth software as turns out
in another discussion...
