I have just take delivery of my new D3, it was a dealer demo and on opening the centre consul box I have found what appears to be a mobile telephone cradle fitted to the underneath of the lid ? dealers are closed and was just wondering if this is a standard place for cradle as I was under the impression that the mobile fitted on the other side of the gear stick. The way it us a mobile would just fall out of it ? strange have I got something my dealer forgot about.

I think you'll find that this requires a 'phone holder' attached to that cradle.
They're only suitable for a limited number of phones and can often be found on eBay or contact Nick @Yeovil
I think the latest one from LR is for some Nokia phones

Thanks taz, my idea was just to buy a compatible telephone from flea bay and leave it in the car permanently
