Changed my D3 lights for a set of D4 ones about 6 months ago. I've noticed on a couple of occasions they suffer with condensation. Is this a common complaint? Is there a way to resolve it?

Usually indicates an air leak where moisture has got in, possibly a bulb housing not seating properly especially if it is only one of them.
Inspected the unit with a fine tooth comb couldn't see anything obvious in terms of lens or unit damage. Both the bulbs seem to seat correctly & the rubber seal looks ok on them both. I've run around the unit with sealant where the lens joins the ABS body for good measure as I could see a couple of very small hairline cracks when looking with a magnifying loupe though I wouldn't think that would be the cause?
I also note the camp seems to be split on whether the units should be sealed or open. Some say on other forums for other cars the units should be able to breath to allow a balanced temperature internally & externally to prevent condensation, so I may well have made matters worse!

could've sworn mine have some breather tubes ,,, not removed them in a while. will try and look over weekend..
