On the subject of compressors our D3 developed a suspension fault last month. Since then a mate has fitted a new compressor for me that he already had. I have also have new pressure sensor fitted.
The compressor now seems quite loud compared to the old one before that gave up, so my question is how loud is yours?

Ask your mate if he replaced all the sound deadening, I have removed mine and the compressor is noticeably noisier inside and outside the vehicle!2014 D4 XS

Compressor OK
Turned out it was the corner valve and a snapped wire in the loom feeding the bits n bobs
All sorted now.
I'm £650 lighter though....57 RRS TDV8

OUCH. Mine is in at Nene Overland having the suspension looked at. Its been there 3 days and they haven't rung yet, I assume they are still calculating the bill! 2014 D4 XS

But they "only" charged me 3
If the compressor's gone mate, you'll be looking at an additional £300, so expect a bill ofd circa £800

Heard back from Nene overland today, its an electrical issue and not the compressor, they've spent two days investigating it and still haven't found the issue.
Decided against a warranty when I bought it, but will sure as hell be getting one when I get it back!!2014 D4 XS

And now they have phoned me to say they have cured the fault and that I can go get her in the morning!
Bloke on the phone wasn't the most technical but it was something to do with the battery, which was new last month!
will find out more tomorrow, but I'm happy with the £150 bill, I was expecting a grand! 2014 D4 XS

`Cos the car went in this morning for the P017 recall and a new thermostat to (hopefully and finally) cure my ongoing Engine System Fault...to be told they also replaced the compressor as the rattle and vibration that just started was not due to ice... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

i had 2 for workshop jobs turn up tuesday, just need your dealer to chase them to get, it should normally take no more than a couple days to get one if you really have to TLO has left the building.......
