Compressor Sudden Death Syndrome

I knew when I picked the car up from its last service I shouldn't have said "see you in a year".

Yesterday I got a very polite beep (not the dreaded bong) and a yellow warning triangle with the message "Only normal height available" Crying or Very sad . I thought this was probably a bad sign so phoned the dealer and booked the car in. They couldn't fit me in with a loan car for ten days but I could cope with normal height until then.

This morning it progressed to "Suspension Failure" Big Cry and I started to get that sinking feeling (especially at the rear end).

Deciding that the car wasn't going to be drivable for another 10 days I summoned LR Assist who appeared as if by magic 10 minutes later Shocked Thumbs Up. LRA quickly confirmed that my compressor was officially f Censored d and that it must have shorted out internally as it had even blown the 60A fuse that supplies it Shocked. He booked a replacement car and followed me whilst I bounced my saggy rear end up to the dealers.

Amazingly, there was already a loan RRS at the dealers that the another customer had left there so after a few phone calls to and from the rental company it was mine until my car is fixed.

Hopefully I'll get mine back early next week, but my thanks go to LR Assist who with the help of a bit of luck managed to get me and all my kit into a replacement vehicle remarkably quickly. Thumbs Up

I don't know. I think it is probably Hitachi but I can't be sure.
