Compressor rebuild question |
|
I read up a lot on here and I just wanted to check something with the collective experience.
I plan to remove, service the piston and refit my hitachi compressor. I have the kit, I have studied the instructions and have the tools.
One bit is not clear which is around removing the pipes from the brass couplings on the back of the compressor. These seem to be the most problematic part of the job so I intend to not mess with these and instead just cut the pipes then rejoin with inline couplings.
What is your wisdom?
Cheers Discovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. Now with winch 😂

Probably a good way to do it as the connectors can disintegrate on removal, IIRC the pipes are different sizes so possibly two push-fit connectors required
As per D_M 8mm & 10mm (presuming D3 & D4 same -
