Compressor error

Hi guys been having errors with compressor again. This one is only 7 months old and now getting suspension errors again been perfect up to now.
Car sits in standard height fine not down at all in any corners.
Try to send it to off road and just says raising but it’s very very slow then get the message about moving when the compressor has cooled.
Error triangle goes off but comes on and off again under normal driving.
Compressor is under warranty does it sound to anyone it’s had it again.
Any help be much appreciated

That doesn't seem to fit exactly the behaviour of a failing compressor, but of course for all I know, it might be. Possibly something to do with it's fitting. As it's under warranty, I guess you'll be following it up.

Yes my thoughts exactly. Going to remove the compressor check it’s working ok to be safe then check for broken or damaged wires before looking at sensors and stuff.
Just seems a bit odd.

Sounds like you might have a leak on the air tank, if the compressor has to pump up the tank from empty every time you start it up then it won’t last long as it’s not designed to be running for that long all the time. Most of the time when I replace a compressor I put a new air tank too, most are getting a bit rusty by now.

Start with the easy stuff. I'd check the firmware. A couple of posts about this in recent weeks, including my experience with LR main stealer fitting a new compressor (AMK) and leaving the Hitachi firmware loaded. This generated error codes and bongs randomly, although the car exhibited no other signs of compressor failure. If you have an iid tool it costs nothing to try.

Visual inspection of the air tank looks ok not very rusty at all.

As I said car is loosing no height after been parked up in any corner.

Dropped it down to access then back up to standard it got there eventually
compressor is an Hitachi

If I manage to get the codes read would it give me a sure indication of the fault.

Thanks for the help so far Thumbs Up

It would give you a better idea what was wrong, so would looking at the live data for the compressor.

Ok had the car plugged in today to check for errors at my local Indy
Drove home trying to remember the darn code and iirc C110A or C210A but was definitely temperature
Sensor on compressor.

A code they say is not very common.

Called where I got the compressor from and they are going to replace on warranty.
My Indy tried to clear the code but it would not go just kept returning instantly, once a new compressor is fitted problem should be fixed fingers crossed.

Update:New compressor fitted today as instructed by my indy and the back end shot up, however the front took forever hinting to me there is an issue .Over heating fault has gone though

Just to top things off the connections on the new one are not the push in type you have to unscrew feed the pipe and fit a sleeve (if anyone knows the name of these).

So the new compressor was running nice until the sleeve I had to undo to fit the output 5mm stripped the threads and shot out Censored and tbh the connection was awful (not overtightened either)Needed to be changed to the push in type but too late for that now.

So now the old compressor is back on and the new one back to the supplier for exchange or refund.
Big Cry
all my time wasted and gained nothing.Tomorrow back to the indy to discuss the next move.

As you say dgardel valves blocks is a good possibility Thumbs Up

Well I was going to book my car in at my local indy but after a conversation on the phone where the owner was so RUDE and unprofessional I won't be going back there anytime soon.

I will wish them the best of look for the future but if talking to all his customers like he did me he won't be around for long. Censored Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
