Compressor driving me mad

Hey guys after some help.
Fitted new compressor 2 weeks ago all went sweet suspension rise and fall as it should.
Yesterday tried to raise to off road and the screen just said raising so I left it for a bit nothing happened.
So I then check under the car and compressor not even running. So remove the cover and check power all good then I unplugged the temperature sensor plug. Compressor now runs. Plugged it bag in then stopped a couple of time then the car works as it should all connections are good. Now I have suspension error on dash. Would this be because I disconnected the compressor? If I have the faults cleared would the problem go away ? Compressor could not of failed after 2 weeks.
Any suggestions
Thanks in advanced

Which replacement compressor did you buy?

I had a Bearmach one that needed replacing after a few months.

Got both the Bearmach and Arnott one from Paul at AF, been very helpful throughout.

Went for this one as a replacement for the faulty Bearmach:

Is it possible to fit the amk version. What would be required to change ?

The new Arnott/AMK version from AF is so easy to fit as there's no housing so no need for bleeding knuckles when trying to remove the two rearmost bolts. Took 45mins to remove the old and replace the new.

On the flip side, how it will perform without a housing is another matter and one only time will tell. It does come with a lifetime guarantee though.

As yours is the hitachi, you'd need to upgrade the firmware by flashing the CCF with an IID tool.

Looking at your link if my hitachi is at fault again I’m going to go for amk the same. I like the fact it’s not as much hassle to fit and lifetime guarantee.

Where can I get ccf changed for amk

If you have an IID tool you can do it yourself. If not, and seeing as you're Warks based, try PM'ing bodsy. He's Shrops based so sure he covers your area. Thumbs Up

What make was the one you took off?
Did you fit a new relay?
AMK will run ok on Hitachi software, mine was on it for three years from new until I checked with Iid, AMK just works at a lower pressure and lengthens the life.
Hitachi on AMK will through a fault(light). Is it possible you are running on AMK software?

Putting another new compressor in might not solve the issue...

It sounds to me like the Compressor is running too often and basically overheating...

I might suggest.

1. Change the Relay (they are prone to fail)
2. TRIPLE CHECK that there is not a leak in the air tank.. Often holes hide 'on top' and cant be seen.. even dropping the tank sometimes they look solid.. but have a leak!
3. Get any codes read/cleared
4. Check the Valve Blocks and VOSS connectors and all pipes for leaks..

good luck

Thumbs Up , a continually running comp. will overheat and trip out throwing a fault light on. A Iid tool will tell you the exact temp both of the compressor and motor, AMG software has a lower threshold thanHitachi.
If overheating is throwing the fault it will clear after it has cooled and an engine restart, probable 30mins to cool down.

Thanks for advice guys.
Cars been in garage all suspension checked no leaks but a load of errors. Main one was compressor overheating caused by probable faulty temperature sensor on new compressor(Hitachi).

All new pipe work and OE parts fitted from Landrover . Gone has the Hitachi in with AMK.

hopefully no more issues

D Thumbs Up
