Compomotive wheels and KO2's fitted! Questions
Got the truck out and fitted with some proper wheels and tyres today. Spoke with Barry over at Compomotive who cut me a reasonable deal on 5 brand new PD1881's in black and shipped to the house quick. Found a local supplier for BFG TA KO2 tyres in 265/65/18. This wheel / tyre combo is the exact same setup I had on my previous 2013 D4. Most of the US D3/D4 community goes for these, so they are well known.
Had the usual niggles trying to fit the spare. Just like my previous rig, I had to remove the heat shield in the end and with some coercion (kicking) got it up in place. RLD wheel protector also fitted as a precaution!
So, my question is regarding the center caps for the wheels. On my '13 D4, I just swapped my factory caps out and put them on my new Compomotives and that was that. It seems my center caps don't really fit off my wheels on this truck. I had the 20" alloys from the Black Pack and those center caps just sit loose and do not snap in. Anyone know what's up with this? Is this normal? Anyone with a part number to fit the Compos? Preferably in black.
Lastly.. anyone know the going rate on the stock 20" Black Pack wheels? I bought the truck from LR Approved Used a few weeks back with only 14k miles on the clock. So, the wheels are absolutely immaculate.
Thanks in advance!
Here's a sneak peak.. I will post better pics once the weather permits!

Had the same probs with the centre caps but just used a little CT1 silicone adhesive on the lugs. Can still prize them off if needs be without too much effort.
Looking forward to the full pics in black so I can decide if to paint mine or not D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

I kept the oe rims on all of my D4’s and refitted them when I sold the vehicle. The Compomotives hold their value well.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
